I’m a political scientist and International Relations researcher with 8+ years of analytical and research experience, international teaching practice, and a strong background in project management, team leadership, and science diplomacy. I hold a PhD in International Relations from the University of Kent, where my work explored the origins of UK foreign policy and the development of Global Britain. I am currently a researcher at the Conflict Analysis Research Centre.

Beyond academia, I bring experience in policy analysis, consulting, and strategic advisory work. I have led and delivered ad hoc consultancy projects, contributing to evidence-based advice for the Government, diplomatic missions, and Members of Parliament in Portugal and the UK, translating complex political, institutional, and societal dynamics into actionable insights.

I have taught internationally (Kent, UCL, and the University of Marburg), led diverse and multidisciplinary teams, and served on several executive boards in research, diplomacy, and innovation networks. I also have two years of hands-on experience in diplomacy and start-up environments, working in EU–UK scientific diplomacy, stakeholder engagement, and cross-border collaboration.

My analytical work bridges the intersection of climate policy, security, defence, and foreign policy, with a focus on how evidence, narratives, and institutional incentives shape strategic decision-making. My approach is grounded in non-partisan, ethical, and methodologically rigorous research. I have experience working with high-level stakeholders across government, diplomacy, defence, international organisations, academia, and the private sector. I focus on translating complex political, economic, and environmental dynamics into clear, actionable insights that support responsible governance, strategic foresight, and sustainable policy outcomes.

I believe strongly in women’s rights, equality, and making space for younger generations to have a voice in political decisions that shape our future. I love old books, yoga, running, and red wine from Douro. I’m a proud dog mom of an english cocker spaniel named Camões.
